ADULTS MEMBERSHIPS

What are your membership prices?

All our prices are on our website and while the prices for non-members are available just ask about PT at the front desk.

Why is there a 200 AED joining fee?

This one-time payment covers the administrative costs of setting up your profile on our database and assigning you your own personal RFID bracelet.

Do I pay an administration fee every renewal?

You won’t have to pay it again, as long as you renew your membership before your membership expires, or within 30 days of it expiring. If you wait longer than 30 days then you will be charged another joining fee.

Can I pay monthly?

Yes, adults can pay monthly debits for 6- or 12-month packages. 3-month memberships are prepaid, as are junior terms.

Can I freeze my membership?

You can put your membership ‘on hold’ for a maximum of 30 days at a time. The first freezing is free, 2nd and 3rd freeze cost 100AED each for a 12 month membership. 6-month members are entitled to 2 freezes, both of which are charged at 100AED. 3-month members are entitled to 1 freeze also charged at 100AED.

Can I cancel my membership?

We don’t allow refunds or cancellation of memberships, as specified in our Terms and Conditions document, which you can find here, https://www.fitrepublik.com/terms-and-conditions/ —or just ask for a hard copy at reception.

Will we have any more offers for membership/renewals?

We make our offers very public when they go live.

Are there any discounts for corporate companies?

Yes, we do offer corporate discounts for companies. Please contact our sales department for more information.

Do you have a family discount?

No, unfortunately, we don’t.

Can my husband/wife use my membership when I am out of the country?

No, memberships are non-transferable.

What documentation do I need to become a member?

You don’t need any documentation to become a member of FitRepublik. When you sign up we will ask you to fill out an application form and we will then take your photo for ID purposes. If you want to sign up for a monthly debit package then you’ll need to have your credit card with you.

Does my membership automatically renew?

No, it automatically expires, and will be blocked once it ends. You’ll receive a phone call and email asking if you want to continue being part of FitRepublik. You can renew your membership at the front desk.

Can I change my 'Plus One' Discipline?

Yes, you can. We only ask that you keep the same plus one for at least 3 months so you can get used to the class and fully experience it. Still, you can speak to anyone at the front desk about changing. If you don’t currently have a plus one but would like to get one, you can upgrade your membership at any time. Just ask the CRM team at the front desk. We do not downgrade memberships.

Where can I see the Terms & Conditions of my membership?

You can view them on our website or ask for a hard copy at the front desk.

ADULTS CLASSES / ACTIVITIES

How do I sign up to classes?

Just go to the website homepage and click on the red Member Portal button (top right) where you will be required to fill in your name, email and member ID to register. The Member Portal lets you manage your FitRepublik life online. You can book and cancel classes, view schedules and manage your personal training schedule at the click of a button. Giving you complete power over your programme.

Which teachers take which studio class?

You can check the schedule board next to the front desk to see which coaches host the classes. Studio classes schedules are also available in our Facebook Group (FitRepublik GX) in the photos.

JUNIORS MEMBERSHIP

What are FitRepublik's term dates for 2018 for Junior Members?

Term 1: January 6th – March 24th
Term 2: April 8th – June 23th
Summer Camp: July 1st – August 30th
Term 3: September 16th – December 15th

Do you have make-up classes for Junior program?

We don’t offer make up classes. Our capacity in junior programs is very sensitive and we can’t accommodate kids outside of their enrolled classes.

Can I switch my kid’s activity from twice a week to 3 times a week?

Yes, your kids can upgrade their membership to include activities three times a week rather than just two, depending on availability. Please speak to the front desk for more information.

What are assessments and why does my child have to attend them?

Assessments help our coaches see the abilities and skill levels of children before they sign up for the term. They are also an opportunity for children to see what a certain activity is about. All children of 2 years and above must come for an assessment before registering.

Do I need to pay for an assessment?

No, assessments are free.

Do I need to book for an assessment?

No, you can simply bring your child during the assessment times. The times are announced on the website on the pages of all children activities. We also host open assessment days before the start of every new term. We will announce these on our social media pages: Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

PERSONAL TRAINING

What are the benefits of working with a personal trainer?

Working with a Personal Trainer ensures the exercises performed are specific to your goals and are executed safely. Our team of REPS Registered Personal Trainers have the knowledge and skills required to work around injuries and medical conditions that make effective exercise difficult. One-on-One Personal Training offers a schedule that is flexible and based on your needs.

How much is personal training?

Your Personal Training package is priced according to your activity and commitment level. You could pay as much as 275AED or as little as 175AED per session. We also have rates for non-members also. The more you train the less you pay.

What is the validity of my personal training Package?

Personal Training packages are valid for 30 days from the date of your first session.

Can I extend the validity of my personal training package?

For exceptional circumstances, your Personal Training package can be extended on a case by case bases.

Can I use my personal training sessions with more than one coach?

Yes – the best part of FitRepublik is having your choice of trainer and discipline. We encourage our members to take advantage of all of our coaches.

What if I cancel a personal training session within 48 hours?

If your session is canceled within 48hours the session will be charged and deducted from your balance.

What if I cancel a personal training session outside 48 hours?

If you cancel a session outside of 48hours, then there is no deduction for that session and the time slot is released for that booking.

What happens if I miss a pre-booked personal training session?

All no-shows are considered to be a late cancelation and therefore the session would be deducted from your available balance.

Are personal training sessions transferable?

All clients are required to have their own Personal Training package and therefore your sessions are not transferable to another client.

Can I freeze my personal training package?

For exceptional circumstances, you can request to freeze your personal training package for a fee of 100AED.

GENERAL

Do you offer free trials?

We don’t offer free use of our facility. However, you can buy a day pass for 150 AED. If you decide to join FitRepublik on the same day, we’ll deduct this money from your membership cost. Juniors are welcome to our assessment days to find out if our programs are suitable for them.

Can I bring a friend to use the gym for a day?

If you have an annual membership, you’ll receive 5 free guest passes along with it. We also offer a day pass for AED 150 to use the facility for a day.

Are coaches available for consultation?

Our coaches are very happy to answer any questions you may have. If you want to discuss fitness goals then you can arrange a Personal Training package at the front desk. Personal Training is a paid service.

Do I get an induction to the gym?

Yes! We have a program “Learn to Gym” where our coaches will take you around the gym to teach you how to use the equipment and machines. Ask at the front desk for more information or to sign up to a session.

Do I get an access card?

The access to FitRepublik is an RFID bracelet linked to your profile and the activities you are enrolled in as a member. This bracelet can only be used by the owner of the profile and just for the activities included in their package. For example, an Aquatics-only member can’t access the Martial Arts zone.

Do I get a personal locker?

There are lockers in the changing rooms at the pool and the gym. Your bracelet accesses a locker for the day.

I forgot something in the locker. Where can I find it?

The lockers are unlocked at closing and all belongings are sent to Lost & Found with security.

Can my kid swim with me in the pool?

All underage swimmers (under 16 years old) must be enrolled in a junior program and cannot be unsupervised in our facility. With the exception of swimmers enrolled in a high squad in our program and being over 12 years old, they can use the pool out of swimming classes to practice as long as a lifeguard is on duty.

How can I send suggestions/feedback?

There’s a black box at reception with feedback cards where you can comment about our facility, staff, services etc. Our staff is also happy to hear direct feedback too.

Where is FitRepublik located?

FitRepublik is located in The Academies, Dubai Sports City. We are located right next to the ICC Cricket Academy. When you enter Sports City you need to take the 3rd exit at the roundabout, then make a U-turn at the next available point, then take the first right turn, and then the first left turn through the security gate. You should then be able to see the FitRepublik gym. Once you get to Sports City there are also signs to help guide you to us. For a map view please go to the contact page on our website.
